HOW TO PRONOUNCE

 STOP RECITE IS BETTER (stop and take a breath)

 

DEFINITION

Waqaf Tam is a perfect waqaf that is the discourse marker for each verse. This Waqaf is marked with a number for each sentence. In linguistic definition, Waqaf means to stop and Tam means complete or perfect.

  • Waqaf Tam is also known as Waqaf Kamil or perfect stop.
  • It is best for the readers to stop reading at each of these signs.
  • This sign is also placed number for sentence order
