Mad Tamkin are the Mad letters that meet the vowel letter that is similar to the Mad letter such as the letter Ya ‘Sukun (non-vowel) meet vowel Ya’ , or Wau sukun meet with vowel Wau.
RATE OF HARAKAT
The rate of harakat or length for Mad Tamkin is 2 harakat.
The sign of Mad Tamkin is when it is found the letter Mad with the same vowel letter in one sentence.
“Tamkin” means to keep the letter Mad, in other words, it is not combining it (idgham) with the letter after it. Therefore, the letters Wau and Ya ‘are confirmed by extending their 2 harakat in order to keep the letters from being Idgham.
